As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and knowledgeable about safety precautions
• Experience in deep water and basic watercraft ability (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water, etc.)
• Prior experience with children preferred
• CPR/AED certification preferred but not required
• Must be at least 18 years old
